Prishtina International Film Festival and Prishtina Film FORUM (PriFORUM) are proud to announce the call for entries for the Best Pitch 2017.

The deadline for submitting your project is 15th March 2017.

We are looking for the feature-length fiction projects in the development and financing stage from first and second time filmmakers from the Balkan region. The selected film projects will take part in a 4-day-long project development cycle that will range from:

1.Pitch and Audience Development Training conducted by Torino Film Lab experts
2.One-on-one session with the EAVE and Maia finance expert: Business and Strategic Planning for companies in the film industry, financing and coproduction strategy for the film project
3.Script Development workshop with experts from Script Circle Berlin

BEST PITCH is a contest, therefore the pitch session will be judged by International Jury and the audience of accredited guest at the festival (co-producers, funders, distributors and sales agents). More than one project will be selected this year to win the following prizes:

- Vanessa Redgrave Award - The traditional award of Best Pitch with monetary prize of 1000 €
- Post Production Prize – full post production services for the winning film project offered by South African Partner company - DEEPEND Post Production

All selected projects from the Best Pitch 2017 will become eligible to take part in the Prishtina Rendezvous after the pitch session.

PriFORUM is a film industry development platform, an integral part of PriFest – Prishtina International Film Festival, which will have its 9th edition in April 20-27, 2017, in Prishtina, Kosovo. PriFORUM dates are 22-24 April. In addition to Best Pitch, PriFORUM has another two separate modules:

PRISHTINA RENDEZVOUS, is a weekend event dedicated to International Distributors and World Sales. Prishtina Rendezvous aims to bring together talents from Balkan region and offer them a chance to meet with international distributors and world sales agents, who are invited to scout for film projects from the region of Balkan. Filmmakers will get a chance to articulate their ideas and stories in a ‘speed date’ style / one-on-one meeting.

REGIONAL CONFERENCE on the matters of film industry, panel discussions and presentations with international experts on different subjects concerning film industry: distribution, international sales, coproduction and financing, including workshops for actors and students. Filmmakers from the region are invited to attend and get a chance to meet some of the very important names of film industry in Europe, but this time in a smaller and more intimate setting that offers more space for networking.

Over 200 producers, distributors, representatives of film markets, sales companies, film funds, film professionals from Europe and the region, as well as representatives of film festivals will be attending the event.
